Candace Parker practices in the areas of Family, Labour and Employment, Human Rights and Residential School Survivor Claims. She has practiced labour and other administrative law in British Columbia for nearly twenty years. She welcomes work in labour and employment law, human rights cases, family law, and acting for Indian Residential School survivor claimants through the Independent Assessment Process (IAP). Douglas is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, but immigrated to Canada with his family in 1998. Pablo Irribarra practices in the area of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship. Pablo graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, in 2006 where he worked and volunteered throughout his time in law school as a Student Caseworker with the Center For Spanish Speaking Peoples Legal Clinic. He regularly advises individuals and businesses on the various programs available under both the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Citizenship Act. Read more...
John Richardson practices in the area of Law for Social Change. John is the managing partner of Pivot Legal LLP and the Executive Director of Pivot Legal Society. A graduate of the University of Victoria law school, John was called to the BC bar in 2001. Before law school, John received a B.Sc in math and philosophy at the University of Toronto, and an International Baccalaureate at Pearson College. Read more...
Natalie Dunbar practices in the area of Criminal Defence as well as prison and mental health law. She went to law school in Manitoba, where she practiced and served as director of Pro Bono Services. Natalie has worked in Provincial court as well as B.C. Supreme Court and Manitoba Queen's Bench. Katrina Pacey is the managing partner of Pivot Legal LLP and practices in the area of Criminal Defence, mental health, prison and constitutional law. Katrina is also lead counsel in two Pivot Legal Society campaigns - the sex work and human rights campaign and the health campaign. Lobat Sadrehashemi shares her time equally between serving individual clients in Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship law at Pivot Legal LLP and providing legal advocacy for Pivot Legal Society's campaigns on child welfare reform and violence against women. Lobat graduated from the University of Toronto's Joint Law and Master's of Social Work program in June 2005 and articled or Lorne Waldman, one of Canada's leading immigration and refugee lawyers. She has law degrees from UBC law school and Oxford University and practiced law in two of Vancouver's largest law firms before joining Pivot Legal LLP in late 2007. She also coordinates Pivot's Policing Campaign. Christine McDermott practices in the area of Wills and Estate Planning, Probate and Elder Law. She has law degrees from University of Kansas law school and Canadian accreditation program through the University of Ottawa.  Christine is licensed to practice in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.  Before joining Pivot Legal LLP, she practiced in civil litigation in the United States, as well as estate planning and probate at a well established west coast law firm in Vancouver.
