Douglas King
Criminal
Douglas King is an associate with Pivot Legal LLP and runs Pivot Legal Society's Policing Campaign. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in January 2008 after finishing articles with the appeals section of the Legal Services Society (legal aid).
Douglas is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, but immigrated to Canada with his family in 1998. After completing his undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of Washington Douglas attended law school at the University of British Columbia. Throughout law school Douglas participated in the UBC clinics serving the Downtown Eastside at the Carnegie Centre and First Nations Legal Clinic and began work as an advocate with the Downtown Eastside Residents Association (DERA) in 2006 and 2008 before coming to Pivot.

Douglas works with both private and legal aid clients, and practices primarily at the Vancouver Main Street courthouse.
Douglas King will be on sabbatical and unable to see clients from May - October, 2009.
